If you knew the benefits of it, then you will never discard it under any condition”. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) stated,” I have been given Aayatul Kursi from the treasures under the Arsh of Allaah, and it was not given to anyone before me”.

Ibne Abbass (Radiahallahu Anhu) narrated that the Bani Israeel asked Musa(A.S.), “Does your Rabb sleep?” Musa(A.S.) said, “Fear Allaah”. Allaah ordered,” Oh Musa, your nation has asked you whether your Rabb sleeps? Take two glasses in your hand and stand with it for the whole night.” Hadhrat Musa (A.S) did as he was ordered. When a third of the night passed, he fell on his knees but stood up immediately.

During the latter part of the night, sleep overcame him, and the glasses fell and broke. Allaah Jala Shanahan said, “Oh Musa, if I sleep, then the sky will fall on the earth and destroy it just as the two glasses fell from your hands and broke.” Then Allaah Ta’aala revealed unto Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) Ayatul Kursi.

Narrated Abu Huraira RA

Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) ordered me to guard the Zakat revenue of Ramadan. Then somebody came to me and started stealing from the foodstuff. I caught him and said, “I will take you to Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)!” Then Abu Huraira described the whole narration and said: That person said (to me), “(Please don’t take me to Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) and I will tell you a few words by which Allah will benefit you.) When you go to your bed, recite Ayat-al-Kursi, (2.255) for then there will be a guard from Allah who will protect you all night long, and Satan will not be able to come near you till dawn.” (When the Prophet (ﷺ) heard the story) he said (to me), “He (who came to you at night) told you the truth although he is a liar; and it was Satan.

[Sahih Bukhari]

“Do not turn your homes into graveyards; surely the Devil flees from the house in which Surat Al-Baqarah is read,” Muslim 1/539. The invocations also drive out the Devil for morning and evening. Also with those that are said before sleeping and upon waking up, those for entering and leaving the house, including those for entering and leaving the mosque, and by many other authentic invocations taught to us by the Prophet (ﷺ) such as the reading of ‘Ayatul-Kursi, (Al-Baqarah 2:255), and the last two ‘Ayat of Surat Al-Baqarah before going to sleep.

Whoever says: “There is none worthy of worship, but Allah alone, Who has no partner, He is the dominion, and He is the praise, and He can do all things,” one hundred times, it will be a protection for him from the Devil throughout the day.’

When you go to your bed, recite Ayatul Kursi, for then there will be a guard from Allah who will protect you all night long, and Satan will not be able to come near you till dawn.” When the Prophet heard the story, he said (to me), “He (who came to you at night) told you the truth although he is a liar, and it was Satan.” [Sahih Al-Bukhari]

Jin promised him that, if you recite Ayatul Kursi, Shayteeen will never come to your house. The rest will run away from your home by the sound of a donkey.

Jin replied Ayatul Kursi could save you from our evil actions. Later, Hazrat Ali RA approached Prophet Muhammad SAW. He told him about the incident that happened. Holy Messenger replied that he was saying right. No doubt, he was a liar. Ayatul Kursi can save us from the evil action of Shaiteen.

The Holy Prophet SAW said, “Whoever recites the first four verses of Surah Al-Baqrah, then repeats the Ayatul Kursi. Then recites the 3 Ayah of Surah Al-Baqrah again.
